Premise incurred significant expenses due to duplicate submissions on map-based tasks. ( One of the reasons was because we had not informed users when a submission had already been completed.) --> Problem
I led the end-to-end mobile design of a map that visualized submitted locations to reduce duplicate data collection. It resulted in a 45% cost savings.

Users submitted the same location-based tasks because they did not know if someone had already collected this data.
How might we notify users that a location has already been submitted and they cannot earn money from the task.
This task requires users to upload restaurants in their neighborhood, as we only show tasks to users located near them, with a distance limitation.
Show on the map visually where the found stores are, and only allow submissions for stores that have not been found.
After tapping on the task, users can view an overview with a map displaying their current location and submitted stores by others.
When a first-time user taps the 'Start' button, a tutorial pops up to ensure they understand.
Users only can submit the task on their current location.
Tap the confirm button in front of the restaurant you found to add the location and information to the map.
If there are other restaurants near the users, ensure that the restaurant they try to add is not already on the submitted list. Then, proceed to add more information about the restaurant.
If user submit the restaurant in the mall, or specific location, they can check before visit the area whether someone submitted or not by tapping lock icon which shows submitted lists.
