Premise incurred significant expenses due to duplicate submissions on map-based tasks. One of the reasons was because they had not informed users when a submission had already been completed.
I led the end-to-end mobile design of a map that visualized submitted locations to reduce duplicate data collection. It resulted in a 45% cost savings.

Users submitted the same location-based tasks because they did not know if someone had already collected this data.
How might we notify users that a location has already been submitted and money cannot be earned.
This task requires users to upload restaurants in their neighborhood, as we only show them tasks located nearby within a distance limitation.
Visually show on the map where the found stores are and only allow submissions for stores that have not been found.
When a first-time user taps the 'Start' button, a tutorial pops up to ensure they understand that locked locations have already been submitted and will be rejected.
Users can only submit tasks from their current location.
If there are other restaurants near the users, ensure the restaurant being added is not already on the submitted list. Then, proceed to add more information about the restaurant.
